The Legacy of Messi: Lamine Yamal, the Heir Who Points to La Pulga

Leo Messi participated in an Adidas event held in Herzogenaurach, Germany, where he took the opportunity to praise Lamine Yamal. The musical artist Goke Oyewo, as part of the audience, asked La Pulga which young footballer of today represents him and, amid the excitement of the audience chanting the name of the FC Barcelona winger, the Rosario 'crack' did not hesitate to agree with the fans.

"There is a generation of very good young footballers who have many years ahead. If I have to choose someone, because of his age and the future he has, I have heard Lamine Yamal and undoubtedly for me too", commented the Inter Miami star referring to the azulgrana winger.

In that sense, Leo made clear his confidence in Lamine's abilities to become his successor and a legend of world football. "It depends on him and many things because that’s how football is, but he is present and undoubtedly has an enormous future", stated 'La Pulga'. Both the Rosario and the Mataró native are ambassadors for Adidas and will likely meet soon in a brand campaign.

The youth player from Barça was one of the 10 footballers selected to wear Leo's new exclusive boots, launched as part of the 'Messi Day' campaign, an anniversary that the German brand celebrates annually on October 10. The also azulgrana player, Vicky López, was also part of the campaign, along with Jaedyn Shaw and footballers Joel Ndala, Claudio Echeverri, Kenan Yildiz, Antonio Nusa, Eliesse Ben Seghir, Assan Ouédraogo, and Cavan Sullivan.
