The Pla of Protecció Civil of Catalonia (Procicat) announced this Friday 26 February that the local confinement adopted by the pandemia of the COVID-19 will keep until the Monday 8 March, a measure that plants a new fetter for the elections to the presidency of the FC Barcelona pautadas for the 7 of the same month.
Like consequence, the partners of the Catalan club that do not have access to a headquarters in his region will remain without being able to displace to vote presencialmente the day of the elections. Besides, it has informed that The Government of Catalonia will not give exceptional permissions to allow to the voters exert this right, of agreement to a recent report of the channel TV3.
In this sense, all those that want to vote and do not have in a headquarters in his region only remains them will remain him resort to the vote by post. However, this mechanism can request until this Friday. A situation that tightens the important contention, that will define the immediate future and on a long-term basis of one of the most struck entities economically after the questioned management of Josep Maria Bartomeu and by the own losses motivated to the pandemia.
Of agreement to the proportionate information in 'Catalonia Ràdio', the Barça has asked to the Generalitat that do an exception with the partners of the club and can jump the local confinement to be able to attend to the stadium Camp Nou and participate in the elections.
Waiting for an answer
As the detailed by the mentioned media, the departments of Interior, Salut and Esport of the Generalitat sustained a meeting to answer this same Friday or next the Monday to the letter sent by the Barcelona entity. By his part, the three candidates (Joan Laporta, Víctor Font and Toni Freixa) has requested the same: that they raise the restrictions.
