In the market of signings of the year 2017, arrived to the FC Barcelona a signing that very few understood: Paulinho Bezerra. The player was fundamental for the plans of Ernesto Valverde, that attended frustrated to the episode that gave the past summer: the sale of the Brazilian to the Superliga of China by 50 million euros. The club needed money and this sale was important, but did not like at all to the Txingurri, that considered him fundamental.
Valverde Used to Paulinho like a player for desatascar split thanks to that, with his arrival and smell of goal, was a nuisance to appear from second line, in addition to being a very useful player in the recovery and the pressure. By all this, now misses him, since it has not found to any player that do his tasks.
The FC Barcelona brought to Arturo Vidal to cover the drop of Paulinho, but the Chilean is showing that it goes by another way. Until the moment, has not achieved to be decisive, something that yes was the Brazilian from the first day. And Valverde knows it and misses to this mediapunta with goal and route to defensive positions.
Why it sold to Paulinho?
Basically, the reason by which the FC Barcelona accessed to sell to Paulinho Bezerra was to compensate the enormous cost done in the signings of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembélé. The Brazilian arrived to the Barça by 40 millions and left by 50, an offer that the club did not want to leave escape in spite of that knew that Ernesto Valverde wanted to that the Brazilian followed.
