Barça still has to wait for the Champions League schedule draw to know if they will play on Saturday or Sunday in their home debut at the Camp Nou for LaLiga

FC Barcelona hopes to return to the renovated Spotify Camp Nou for Matchday 4 of LaLiga 2025/26, where they will face Valencia CF. In principle, the board of the Blaugrana team hopes that at least 27,000 fans can be part of the return.

But there is a detail, the league announced the provisional schedule for the fourth matchday of the competition, including dates and times for most of the matches. However, four time slots —two corresponding to Saturday and two to Sunday— have been reserved, and that's where the Blaugrana team comes in.

The reason for this caution is the imminent draw for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, scheduled for August 28. Until then, the organization is keeping those slots in suspense, waiting to adjust the commitments of the Spanish teams that will participate in the continental competition.

What are the possible schedules and dependent matches?

In this context, the schedules for Saturday, September 13 are 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM. As for Sunday the 14th, the times for the matches are 4:15 PM and 9:00 PM.

Also, the matches that are pending confirmation of the Champions League schedules, in addition to Barcelona-Valencia, are Atlético de Madrid-Villarreal, Athletic-Alavés, and Real Sociedad-Real Madrid.

Barça continues to make progress on the Camp Nou works

The works on the new Spotify Camp Nou are progressing well. The club is confident in obtaining the First Occupation License, while the final turf has already been installed, and other details such as lighting have been tested, as the venue will have LED immersion.

Also, it is worth remembering that in the meetings held between the Barcelona entity and the construction company Limak, which is carrying out the works in the stadium, an optimistic forecast was reached. And it is that after the Joan Gamper Trophy, it is expected that both the Tribune and the Gol Sud will be fully operational.

Estimates also indicate that by the last week of August, the works in the lateral area of the Camp Nou will have been completed, which would increase the stadium's capacity to about 45,000 spectators.

In addition, within the Camp Nou remodeling schedule, the club also contemplates that the Gol Nord stand —currently the most delayed in the renovation process— will be completed by the end of September.

It is important to mention that the return to the Blaugrana stronghold will be staggered, so, in principle, for the match against the 'Ché' team, only the enabling of 27,000 seats will be allowed. From there, Barça contemplates a series of phases to gradually increase the number of fans.
