Work on the Spotify Camp Nou continues, with the goal of concluding phase 1B in mid-November. The lateral stand will soon be complete, expanding the capacity to 45,000 spectators
The side stand of the Spotify Camp Nou shows significant progress with just under a month to go until the new date for the return to the culé temple estimated by the club. The board understands that it is best to wait for the conclusion of phase 1B to reopen the Estadi, and the target is the weekend of November 22-23 for the long-awaited return.
In that regard, it is essential to complete the works on the side stands, which would allow a capacity of 45,000 spectators, 5,000 less than what can currently enter Montjuïc. Furthermore, the habilitation of this area allows segmenting the visiting public, a fundamental requirement of UEFA to grant licenses for European competitions.
The construction company Limak is currently installing the lower foundations where the seats will later be installed. In addition, there are completed blocks that give way to the third tier, the highest sector of the renovated Barça temple.
Barça hopes to have phase 1B ready by mid-November

In that regard, the workers are working flat out to have the sides fully operational by mid-November. Barça hosts Athletic right after the third break of the season (November 22-23), and the goal is to have the first occupancy license by that date to welcome 45,000 *culers*.
Once the work on the sides of the Spotify Camp Nou is finished, work will proceed with the construction of the third tier of the North Goal stand. Then the construction of the final tier of the South Goal and Grandstand will be completed, the lower tiers of which are already fully operational.
The Barça board is still waiting for the first occupancy license for phase 1A (27,000 seats), although this does not imply reopening the stadium, but it is a key step for requesting subsequent permits. With the first license in hand, processing the second will be much simpler, having resolved the deficiencies pointed out by the City Council and the fire department.
Elche, Athletic, and Alavés, Barcelona's Rivals in November with Venue to Be Confirmed
For the moment, Montjuïc is confirmed as the venue for the matches against Girona and Olympiacos, the latter for the Champions League. It is most likely that the Lluís Companys will also host the match against Elche (November 2), while, against Athletic and Alavés, there are still hopes of having the necessary permits to return to the Camp Nou.
The match against the team from Vitoria will be on November 29 or 30, a week after hosting the Bilbao team. In the Champions League, the next home game will be against Eintracht Frankfurt on December 9. In that case, we would have to wait for UEFA's 'Ok' to the change of venue during the league phase due to 'force majeure'.
