Josep Cubells, director of the candidature to the presidency the FC Barcelona of Joan Laporta, announced that Juan Carlos Navarro will be "the person that will have to promote the excellence in The Masia so that the players arrive to the first team" of basketball. "There is very good relation, keep the contact often and he has very good tuning with Saras (Sarunas Jasikevicius)", explained the own ex-president of the Barça, the one who no only is afilando his sportive project for the football but in this important discipline for the entity.
"Juan Carlos Navarro has to have more power in the sportive organisation chart of the club and be the vertebrador in this sense", added Cubells, on the aspirations of one of the main favourites for the elections of the next 7 March, if the sanitary emergency by the pandemia of the COVID-19, like this allows it.
"Navarro was ours player and have very good tuning. It is a person in which we trust by his capacities and by his form to understand the basketball and the Barça. He already is in the club, what want to is to give him more importance in the training of players", added.
Likewise, Laporta announced that if it wins the elections will create a Centre of Sportive Excellence and a Living room of the Fame in the Nou Palau Blaugrana. "There will be a Centre of Sportive Excellence that will give support to all the sections and that will take into account the development of the sporty of The Masia in all the fields", detailed Rafael Yuste, the one who would be the responsible director of the sportive area.
More proposals
Finally, Laporta launched that it will promote the creation of a competition of European field for the players sub-21. "We will boost the symbiosis between the players of the different sections", explained afterwards Cubells, highlighted that also it has to "improve and cultivate the loyalty to the groups of animation".
