Vicky López: "I love this sport" and dreams big after winning the Golden Girl
The young Barça star was recognised as the best European Under-21 and dreams of a successful future
Vicky López, the 18-year-old player of FC Barcelona, has been awarded the Golden Girl Award 2024 as the best Under-21 footballer in the European leagues. Although she could not attend the gala organised by Tuttosport in Turin in person, the footballer connected live from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, showing her joy and ambition.
“I am very happy to have received this award. It is a shame not to be there for a logistical reason, but very happy to be able to connect”, expressed the player with a smile, as she posed next to the trophy.
Vicky recalled her humble beginnings in football: “I have loved this sport for as long as I have known, but playing with my brother in the streets of Vallecas and at school is what has brought me here”.
