The International Football Players Union FIFPRO reiterated its rejection of the new Club World Cup that will begin to be held every four years starting in the summer of 2025. For the players, the format of the tournament threatens their health
The new World-wide of Clubs of the FIFA follows generating rejection by part of the International Union of Footballers FIFPRO. For the players, the tournament with which the FIFA pretends to replace the extinct Glass Confederations "will reduce the time of rest and recovery at the end of the season 2024-25 and will disturb, even more, the national labour markets when changing the balance between the national and international competitions".
The tournament will have 32 teams and an identical format to the implemented in the Glass of the World from 1998 until 2022. In total will contest 64 parties between 15 June and on 13 June in the United States, a decision that the FIFPRO considers erroneous to the not implementing more measures of security for the load of work of the players. "This shows a fault of consideration by the mental and physical health of the footballers participants, as well as a contempt by his personal and familiar life", exposes the very hard communiqué.
FIFPRO Loads against the FIFA for ignoring his catchwords
Likewise, the Union of Footballers ensures that, after a season of 11 months, add another tournament to the calendar increases "the mental pressures and extreme physics in the elite of the football that are the main worry of the players with multiple competitions of clubs and national selections, what carries to the exhaustion, physical injuries, problems of mental health, decrease of the performance and risks for the longevity of his careers".

In this sense, the FIFPRO loaded against the FIFA for ignoring his requests to work in group to establish the principles of the welfare of the players. "The current process of the FIFA to tackle the global problem of the calendar of parties no only has excluded to the unions of players on the future format of the competitions, but it has ignored the voice of the footballers when it treats of his own health, welfare and performance", puntualiza the communiqué.
For the moment, there is 19 of the 32 clubs confirmed to contest the World-wide, between them 8 of the 12 contingents assigned to UEFA. The Barça has two roads to classify : winning the Champions in 2024 or surpassing to the Athletic of Madrid in the ranking of the coefficient UEFA. For now, the 'colchoneros' keep an advantage of seven points on the culés (62 to 55),
