Carles Pérez revealed that he received the dog bite on the inside of his leg, dismissing rumors that indicated it was serious

After information emerged this Wednesday (July 30) indicating that the former FC Barcelona player, Carles Pérez, had been bitten by a dog on his genitals, the forward, who is currently playing for Aris Thessaloniki FC, clarified in a statement where he actually received the aggression from the canine.

In this sense, the wound suffered by Carles Pérez is located on the inside of his leg (he did not specify which one) and, contrary to what was initially speculated, it is not of major severity.

Likewise, the attacker was not hospitalized, and the treatment applied consisted of a direct suture, apparently of about six stitches, without the need for surgical intervention.

Although the episode generated alarm, the diagnosis is reassuring, since Pérez did not present serious injuries, although he must undergo medical monitoring in the coming days to guarantee a complete recovery.

“I had the bad luck of suffering a bite on the inside of my leg while trying to separate my dog from another during a minor and unexpected incident without major severity. The wound required sutures that, although not serious, prevent me from being in optimal condition to compete tonight,” explained the player in the letter.

In this way, the forward took the opportunity to send a message of calm in the face of the various information that exposed various scenarios.

It should be noted that the event occurred when he was walking his pet, for which he had no option but to try to separate both dogs.

The forward is on loan at Aris Greek, in his intention to relaunch his career as a footballer, since Celta de Vigo, the current owner of his card, does not have his services.

He also played the 2024/25 season on loan at Getafe, who did not exercise the purchase option included in his loan.
