The Champions League 24/25 has ended with the coronation of PSG in Munich. Who took the Pichichi of the top club competition in Europe?

The UEFA Champions League 2024/25 already has a champion after Paris Saint-Germain's overwhelming victory against Inter Milan (5-0). Luis Enrique's 'manita' put an end to a historic season in which, for the first time since 18/19, an FC Barcelona player took the Pichichi of the tournament.

In that campaign, Barça was on the verge of the final despite the 12 goals scored by 'La Pulga'. This season, the story was similar, with Raphinha leading the scoring chart with 13 goals and Hansi Flick's team saying goodbye in the 'semis' after a dramatic tie against Inter.

The Brazilian scored 13 goals in 14 games and finished tied with Serhou Guirassy, also the author of 13 goals with Borussia Dortmund, five of them in three matches against Barça.

However, Rafa's season was clearly better than Guirassy's. The Dortmund 'killer' scored 5 of his 13 goals from penalties, while the '11' culé scored his 13 goals in continuous plays.

In addition, he had the bad fortune that the goal that made it 3-3 in the first leg of the 'semis' against Inter was given as an own goal to Yann Sommer, because the shot of the culé winger first hit the crossbar and then the back of the Swiss goalkeeper before entering the goal.

Similarly, Guirassy had an extra advantage by playing the 'play off' with Dortmund, with which both goalscorers finished with 14 games played. Raphinha, however, also led the tournament in assists, with 9, three more than Ousmane Dembélé and Joshua Kimmich.

Of the finalists in Munich, Lautaro Martínez (9 goals) and Dembélé (8) were far from Rafa. Robert Lewandowski finished third in the table for the Pichichi with 11 goals, the same as Harry Kane. The Pole, however, missed the first leg of the 'semis' due to injury and could only play the extension in the return leg in Milan.

The MVP of the final, Desiré Doué, finished with 5 goals thanks to his double against Inter. With this, he equaled the line of the third scorer of Barça in the tournament, Lamine Yamal
