Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona defeated Alavés this Sunday (1-0) thanks to a goal from Robert Lewandowski in the 61st minute. The Pole reached 18 goals in LaLiga and 30 in all competitions in the 2024-25 season, where he also has 3 assists in 32 official matches. The '9' took advantage of a deflection from Tenaglia after a shot from Lamine Yamal to finish first-time against Owono. Previously, he had wasted a clear header opportunity.

With his goal against the 'blanquiazul' team, 'Lewy' is on track to complete his best season with Barça. In the 2022-22 season, the forward scored 33 goals in 46 matches, while last season his production dropped to 26 goals in 49 games. In LaLiga, his peak was 23 in his first season as a culé, enough to win the Pichichi and the title that year. Moreover, the Warsaw native continues to make history with the blaugrana jersey.

Robert has now scored 88 goals in 126 official matches with Barça, tying Ronald Koeman for 27th place among the club's all-time top scorers. The next legends within reach of the 36-year-old forward are Bernd Schuster (89), Justo Tejada (91), and Ronaldinho Gaúcho (93). The list is topped by Leo Messi. Spanish César Rodríguez (230) and Uruguayan Luis Suárez (198) complete the podium.

Lewandowski scored again against one of his favorite victims in LaLiga

Against Alavés, Lewandowski confirmed his dominance over the 'blanquiazul' team, having already scored a hat-trick against them in the first round (0-3 in matchday 9). In total, the Pole has scored 7 goals in 4 matches, with the Vitorians, along with Valencia (7 goals in 5 matches), being the '9's favorite victims in the Spanish First Division. Celta and Villarreal (5 goals each) follow on the list of teams that have suffered the most against the experienced forward.

After the match, Robert explained to 'Movistar+' his feelings about the victory. "Sometimes a match like today is important to score, we can't always win with three or five goals. They are a team that is very good defensively. We had few opportunities, but we are very happy," he argued the top scorer in LaLiga
