Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona remains just one victory away from winning their 28th LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25 title in matchday 36. The 'Azulgrana' team maintains a 4-point advantage over Real Madrid, who suffered greatly on Wednesday to salvage an agonizing victory against Mallorca (2-1).

Currently, Barça has 82 points, 4 more than Real Madrid with only two matches to play. Barça visits Espanyol on Thursday and, in the last two matchdays, will face Villarreal and Athletic.

Thus, Barça (82) occupies the first place in the table with a four-point advantage over Real Madrid, located in the second position of LaLiga with 78 points.

Carlo Ancelotti's team came from behind to defeat Mallorca (2-1), who had taken the lead with a great goal from Martin Valjent in the 12th minute. Kylian Mbappé, in the 68th minute, and the youth player Jacobo Ramón, in the fifth minute of added time, avoided a setback that would have left the 'blancos' without title hopes.

However, Barça will secure the championship with a victory against Espanyol. Adding the three points in Cornellà, Hansi Flick's team will once again move 7 points ahead, with only 2 matchdays to play. In case of a draw in the derby, the 'culés' will only need to add another draw against Villarreal or Athletic to be champions.

Atlético de Madrid, meanwhile, remains third with 70 points, 12 units below the Catalans and five behind Madrid. The 'colchoneros' thrashed Real Sociedad (4-0) on Saturday and no longer have any chance of fighting for the championship.
