Barça has reportedly already initiated formal contact with Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker's contract with Juventus ends in June, and he would accept a salary reduction to come to LaLiga

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The FC Barcelona board continues to scour the market in search of a center forward for next season. Doubts about Robert Lewandowski's future are increasing the list of names linked to the Catalan club's radar, and one of the '9s' gaining traction for the upcoming summer transfer window is Serbian Dusan Vlahovic.

The latest information indicates an initial approach from Barça with the Juventus player. The 25-year-old forward's contract ends in June and the 'Old Lady' has no intention of renewing it. Firstly, due to his high salary (around 20 million gross per year) and, secondly, due to his poor performance in the bianconeri shirt over the last two seasons.

Vlahovic closed the 24/25 season with 17 goals in 44 appearances for Juve. In the current season, **he has accumulated 6 goals in 17 matches**, although he has missed the last 6 games due to an adductor injury. In Turin, there is consensus regarding his departure, after four and a half years and a transfer that exceeded 80 'kilos' without meeting the expectations generated by his signing

Vlahovic would have to accept a salary reduction to join Barcelona

The Belgrade native arrived at Juventus in January 2022 from Fiorentina, where he had scored 49 goals in 108 official matches. With the Bianconeri, although he has scored 64 goals in 162 appearances, he did not manage to win Serie A or match his best season with the Viola (21/22, with 21 goals).

Beyond his inconsistent spell at Juve, Barça values the possible signing of Vlahovic as Lewandowski's replacement. Firstly, due to **his age (he will turn 26 in January) and experience in Italy** (eight seasons).

Furthermore, he is a forward with characteristics similar to the Pole's: **lethal in aerial duels and individual contests**, in addition to having a lot of mobility to enter and exit the box, creating space for his teammates in attackIn Barcelona, however, Dusan would have to accept a significant salary reduction. **The Catalan club will hardly agree to pay him more than 15 million gross per season**, understanding that the player would receive a signing bonus as a free agent.

Barça Could Lean Towards Signing a 'Low Cost' Forward Next Summer

Although big names like Julián Álvarez and Harry Kane are being considered by Barça, it's likely the club will end up opting for a 'low cost' alternative. Atlético de Madrid will hardly let 'La Araña' go for less than 100 million, while the Bayern Munich striker seems more interested in renewing with the Bavarians than negotiating with other clubs

The Vlahovic option could represent a very interesting alternative that could generate profits in the medium or long term. If the Serbian does not adapt, he could be loaned out or transferred in the future for a figure close to 30 'kilos' (his current value is €35M on 'Transfermarkt').

While awaiting the definition of Lewandowski's future, everything points to Barça ending up renewing Ferran Torres and exercising the €40 million purchase option for Marcus Rashford. By ratifying confidence in the 'Shark' and the Englishman, a significant expenditure next summer would be ruled out, at least as far as signing a '9' is concerned
