Lamine Yamal premiered as a scorer in the Barça preseason, scoring a double against FC Seoul (3-7) in the first half
Lamine Yamal led FC Barcelona's brutal thrashing against FC Seoul (3-7). The player from Mataró, in his second match wearing the '10' of the 'Azulgrana', scored a double with which Hansi Flick's team started a comfortable thrashing in the first half.
After the 'culé' exhibition, the 18-year-old winger expressed his happiness for fulfilling the dream of celebrating a goal with the mythical number that will accompany him from 25/26.
"It was a dream I had since I was little, to be able to score with this shirt and with this number is very special, very happy to score and for the team's victory", Yamal began by saying after the match.
The player from Rocanfonda has started in the two matches of the Asian tour with Barça. Next Monday, against Daegu (13:00 CEST), he will seek to continue improving his statistics in the preseason, his first with the club.
Lamine, grateful for the support of the fans in Seoul
In that sense, the 'crack' of the 'Azulgrana' also thanked the support of the local fans at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. A total of 62,482 spectators accompanied in the stands, thousands of them wearing the 'Azulgrana' shirt.
"Thank you very much for supporting us in every country and we are very grateful, we hope that this season will be very successful and we will win many titles", Lamine added.
The '10' scored his first goal in the 15th minute, after recovering a ball near the central circle and overflowing on the left. The player from Rocanfonda wanted to enable Dani Olmo with a backheel, but a rival deflected the leather. Luckily, the rebound favored the winger, who did not hesitate to profile himself to his left to take a whiplash.
Before the break, in the last action of the first half, Yamal received a filtered pass from Dani Olmo, left two rivals in the way with a dribble and shot the goalkeeper Hyeon-mu to return the advantage to the Catalans.
Lamine completed a stellar first half against FC Seoul
In the 45 minutes he was on the field, the player from Mataró completed 19 of 24 passes (79%), shot three times on goal (two shots were goals) and completed a couple of dribbles in five attempts. Although he lost a ball that led to Seoul's first goal, the '10' was by far the best of Barça in the first half.
The goal scored by Cho Young-Wook in the 26th minute, in fact, should have been invalidated by a very clear previous offside. But of course, being a friendly, with local (Korean) arbitration, well, much could not be claimed.
Lamine, for his part, also caused a clear penalty for a grab inside the area in the 5th minute, also not indicated by the main judge Kim Dae-Yong. In fact, the referee only sanctioned a foul on the winger. Against Vissel Kobe, the 'crack' of the 'Azulgrana' also received several entries not warned by the referees. That day, he was more imprecise in the definition.
