The Real Madrid infirmary is a true disaster. Tuesday was a day of bad news in the capital, as the merengues reported that David Alaba, who had just returned to the first team after more than a year on the sidelines, has suffered another injury, this time to the adductor of his left leg, which will keep him out for 2 to 3 weeks.

The Austrian will certainly miss the quarter-finals of the Cup against Leganés, the league derby against Atlético de Madrid, the Champions League playoff against Manchester City, and the clash against Osasuna. It remains to be seen if he will be fit in time for the return leg against Pep Guardiola's team or if he will be cleared to play in the match of matchday 25 against Girona.

This situation represents a real 'headache' for Carlo Ancelotti, who sees his defense in shambles. The merengue backline has suffered the losses of Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao for the rest of the season, to which the injury of Antonio Rüdiger has been added for a similar duration to that of Alaba. Thus, Raúl Asencio and the 'exiled' Jesús Vallejo remain as the only available center-backs for the Italian, who will again rely on Tchouaméni to cover the center of the defense.

Bellingham and Mbappé will also be absent in Leganés

As if that weren't enough, 'Carletto' confirmed in the press conference prior to the Cup match against the pepineros that neither Kylian Mbappé nor Jude Bellingham will be available in Butarque. The former has a hematoma in his calf due to the controversial tackle made by Carlos Romero in the defeat of the whites against Espanyol, while the Englishman reportedly suffered a knock and did not train with his teammates.

Madrid will also not recover Eduardo Camavinga, who is already training normally after suffering a hamstring injury in the left leg in the Cup round of 16 against Celta, but has not yet received medical clearance. Thus, a true drama is unfolding at the Bernabéu, where injuries have only exacerbated the problems the whites face on the pitch.
