Mister Hansi Flick would have changed Barça's plans by closing the door to a possible departure of Fermín López and Eríc García

Players like Fermín López or Eric García, with whom FC Barcelona could make money, it seems that they will not move from the team, at least in this summer market that started on July 1.

These names, in principle, did not seem to be part of the 'untouchables' for the sports management of the Catalan team, but according to recent rumors, this is totally different for the technical staff, headed by Hansi Flick.

Apparently, although both players were not essential for the German mister during the 2024/25 season, he would value very positively what the midfielder and defender showed on the field.

Likewise, he would consider that the quality of both can be key for the important moments of the 2025/26 season, for which he would have chosen to block their departures.

Fermín López, an attacking midfielder desired by Europe

The player from El Campillo would have received interest from the Premier League from Chelsea, who apparently tried to get him out of Barcelona through a 'swap' that included Christopher Nkunku, but the Blaugrana board apparently responded with a resounding 'NO'.

On the other hand, from Germany, Bayern Munich would have explored the player's situation, but the Onubense would not show interest in joining the Bavarian team.

Eric García, valid for three demarcations

Despite not being part of the undisputed in Flick's usual XI, the 2024/25 season was consecrating for Eric García, a central defender who, in addition to acting in his natural demarcation, also did so on several occasions in the midfield and right back positions (after the injury of Jules Koundé against Inter Milan in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals).

The 'Kaiser' was able to play 2,104 minutes in 41 matches, in which he managed to score 5 goals and assist on 3 occasions. Eric's regularity would have made him worthy of great confidence from Flick, so, until now, his future would not be far from Camp Barça.
