Barça is very close to reuniting Lamine Yamal with Nico Williams in Catalonia. These would be the salaries of the Spanish 'cracks' from 25/26 with the 'culés'

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The board of FC Barcelona is working hard on the formula to close the signing of Nico Williams soon. The influence of Lamine Yamal in the operation is decisive, as the Basque winger dreams of winning everything wearing the 'azulgrana' shirt alongside his best friend and ideal partner in the Spanish National Team.

In principle, the operation is complex for Barça, as Athletic Club demands the full payment of the release clause of the '10' (58 million euros net) to let him go. Including the CPI, the operation reaches 62 'kilos', without counting the salary of the 22-year-old winger.

At the moment, the club does not have that sum in its coffers, nor with sufficient salary margin to register reinforcements. Joan García was the first signing of the summer and has not yet joined the 'culé' squad due to lack of 'Fair Play'. Even so, Barça is confident of resolving this mess soon thanks to a couple of pending 'levers' (the VIP seats and Barça Studios).

Nico Williams' salary in Barcelona: higher than Lamine Yamal's?

Regarding Nico's contract, Barça's idea is to offer him around 6 or 7 million euros net per year, that is, around 14 'kilos' gross per season. This figure is similar to what Athletic would be willing to pay him to renew his contract, which ends in 2027.

The idea of the 'lions' would be to increase his emoluments to adjust his clause again. In 24/25, the younger of the Williams brothers billed 10 M€ gross, a considerably higher figure than what Lamine received in Barcelona.

Still having a youth contract, the player from Mataró barely earned 1.6 net in his second season with the first team. After his last renewal, until 2031, the 'azulgrana' star will have an increasing salary that, including bonuses, will soon make him the highest paid player in the squad.

Lamine Yamal will be the highest paid player in the Barça squad in 2026

Lamine will receive around 8 million net from July, which can be up to 15 M€ including bonuses ranging from 2 'kilos' (for every 15 games played) to 5 M€ (if he wins the Ballon d'Or).

This would raise his gross salary to 30 million, 4 'kilos' more than what Robert Lewandowski will bill in his last year of contract. In this way, Yamal will be above Nico Williams and the rest of the Barça stars in terms of emoluments.

The board has rewarded his remarkable performance and projection with a contract befitting the great figures of world football. Before turning 18, the player from Mataró has secured his future and, the 'azulgrana' team, the cornerstone of its sports project for the next decade.
