Problems for Barça? Fenerbahçe accelerates for Rashford

FC Barcelona may have a new competitor for Marcus Rashford. Although the Catalan club has not yet made any formal offer for the Manchester United winger, the English forward is one of the options most valued by the club's board and coaching staff to strengthen the left side of their attack.

In that sense, Fenerbahçe is also willing to join the 'race' for Rashford and, according to the latest information, could soon submit an offer to close his definitive transfer.

The Turkish club also has Jadon Sancho on their radar in the 'Man U' squad, but José Mourinho seems to be leaning towards Marcus, whom he knows well from his time at the club (2017-2019).

Fenerbahçe is willing to close the transfer of Rashford

In principle, United are asking for 40 million euros for Rashford, an amount that Barça is not willing to pay. Fenerbahçe, on the other hand, does see a sale as feasible this summer, although perhaps for around 30-35 million euros.

The truth is that Manchester needs to get rid of the English winger as soon as possible, as coach Rúben Amorim does not count on him for next season, nor does he count on Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho. All the discarded players have been left out of the team's pre-season start in Carrington, waiting for offers to speed up their departure.

In Marcus's case, the club has even left him without a squad number. The winger owned the '10' for the last seven seasons, but the Brazilian Matheus Cunha, for whom the board paid 74.2 million to Wolverhampton, has already been presented with the 'red devils'' new kit, sporting the '10' on his back.

Beyond this, Rashford's intention is to facilitate his departure, even lowering his salary if necessary to speed up a possible loan to Barcelona. The English international's priority is to wear the Barça shirt, a possibility that seems more feasible after the failure to sign Nico Williams.

In addition to the former United '10', the Catalans have Luis Díaz on their radar. The Colombian, however, must meet with the Liverpool board to define whether he renews (with a significant salary adjustment) or leaves for Barça or Bayern for a figure close to 80 million.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe is doing its thing trying to close the signing of Rashford. Mourinho's side know that Galatasaray is also bidding strongly in the market and cannot fall behind if they want to have options to fight for the Turkish league next season.
