Manchester United started their pre-season this Monday. As expected, Marcus Rashford will not train with the group while resolving his departure to Barça?

Marcus Rashford will train apart from the Manchester United squad in July. The 'red devils' have separated the discards of coach Rúben Amorim at the beginning of training in Carrington, including the 27-year-old winger.

The '10' played on loan at Aston Villa in the second half of 24/25 and is waiting for an offer from FC Barcelona, either through a transfer or loan, for which United can give more facilities than expected.

United will not count on Rashford for the pre-season

In principle, at Old Trafford they hoped to obtain 40 million for the sale of the player, but the board sees it unlikely to receive a proposal for that amount.

Likewise, the player's salary (20 'kilos') is a problem for the club, so it is not ruled out to renew him to readjust his salary, thus facilitating a loan exit.

While Marcus defines his future, the board prefers to keep him aside. The same will happen with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia, according to 'The Athletic'.

Manchester will play five friendlies this summer, three of them in the United States against Everton, West Ham and Bournemuth from July 26 to August 3. If Rahsford's departure is not resolved upon the team's return to England, it is likely that the winger will return to train with the group to wait for offers in the final stretch of the summer market.

Rúben Amorim's team will play their last pre-season friendly on August 9 at Old Trafford, against Fiorentina. A week later, they will receive Arsenal on the first day of the Premier League, the club's main objective in 25/26.

United have not won the English league since 2013 and this season will not play in European competitions. Therefore, it needs to cash in with several of its 'heavyweights', including the '10'.

Meanwhile, Barça continues to consider the possibility of incorporating Marcus Rashford this summer. Hansi Flick would be delighted with his signing, as he is a versatile striker, capable of playing as a winger on both sides and as an attacking midfielder or '9'.

In addition, the Englishman would arrive with a low profile, without the label of undisputed starter. Marcus knows that he would have to work hard to fight for a place in the XI with players like Dani Olmo, Fermín López and Raphinha himself. After all, healthy internal competition was one of the keys to the great level of most of the culés players the previous year.

However, Deco seems convinced to make an effort to sign Luis Díaz. The Colombian also seems to have his days numbered at Liverpool, but the negotiation with the 'reds' will be much more complex because those from Merseyside ask for between 70 and 80 million for the Colombian.

With Rashford, however, there would be an advantage to negotiate with a Manchester urged to get rid of the striker. Another point in favor is the mediation of his agent, Pini Zahavi, who also represents Flick and Robert Lewandowski. The agent maintains an excellent relationship with Joan Laporta and would help to get very favorable conditions for Barça.
