Barça is nominated for the Best Club of the Year award in both categories. The main rivals for the Catalan team are PSG and Arsenal
FC Barcelona is having one of the main roles in terms of nominations for the different awards that will be presented at the next Ballon d'Or gala. In that sense, the Blaugrana team has already secured another place to occupy on September 22.
Thus, two of the awards with a collective focus —the Best Club of the Year award in its male and female versions— already have their candidates, and the Blaugrana team is on both lists.

In this way, the Barcelona team reaffirms its return to the top of European football, becoming, along with Chelsea, the only two clubs nominated for both categories.
The other candidates for the men's award are Botafogo, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool. The fight for this award will be quite disputed, considering that all the teams won at least one title in the men's section.
Barça and PSG, the main favorites for the Best Men's Club of the Year award
In this context, both the Catalan and French teams have a serious chance of winning the award, taking into account that both won the League, Cup and Super Cup of their respective countries. However, the Parisians won the UEFA Champions League.
This last scenario could tip the balance, but what both teams did during the 2024/25 season was a master class in how to sustain the collective level in the various competitions.
On the other hand, Chelsea won the UEFA Conference League and the Club World Cup, while Botafogo was crowned champion of the Copa Libertadores for the first time, in addition to obtaining the Brasileirao, and Liverpool won the Premier League. The last winner of this award was Real Madrid.
The giants of women's football: clubs nominated for the award of the year
In this argumentative order, apart from Barcelona and the 'blue' team, the other clubs nominated for this category are Olympique de Lyon, Orlando Pride and Arsenal. The Blaugrana team won this award at the Ballon d'Or gala last year.
It should be remembered that Barça is the current champion of the Liga F, Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup, while the women's team of the 'gunners' won the UEFA Women's Champions League, precisely against the Catalan team, beating them 1-0.
Barcelona has a great chance of winning the award in both categories. Although there is still more than a month left for the awards ceremony, do you think the Blaugrana club will be able to keep the awards?
