The French prime minister, Edouard Philippe, has decided to cancel definitively the season 2019-20 of Ligue 1, to come back in August with the new campaign 2020-21
Capital surprise in France, where Tie it 1 has turned into the first of the five big leagues of the European football in cancelling the season 2019-20. After they advanced the information 'RMC Sport' and 'L'Équipe', the French government has communicated by means of the prime minister, Edouard Philippe, that suspends the football until the month of August, what causes the immediate cancellation of Tie it 2019-20.
The LFP will gather in the month of May with the Federation to determine the promotions, descents and European positions of the next season, of the same way that has done in Holland with the Eredivisie, and that already pose do also other European leagues.
And it is that, although the LFP confirmed that the trainings in France would return from 11 May, the French Executive does not share the decision of the maximum organism of the French football and has invalidated it. 'L'Instrument', on the same line that 'RMC Sport', signalled that the prime minister Édouard Philippe did not authorise in any moment the decision of the LFP.
In consequence, Tie it 1 could not restart on 17 May, as it foresaw , and takes the decision to cancel the campaign to restart the new season 2020-21 during the month of August. The initial plan of the French football was the one to finish the next 2 August the national competitions as very late, but the Executive does not guarantee that the sanitary conditions are the ideal in June and July by fault of the coronavirus.
It Tie it 1 it follows in its footsteps the Eredivisie
The consequences can be devastadoras, so much futbolística as economically. The teams of Tie it 1 will suffer with all security a big economic deficit, unless they receive some type of external help, and will modify also of drastic way the agreement reached the Thursday with the televisions regarding rights of transmission.
An economic and sportive catastrophe that it could repeat in distinct countries during these next months of May and June. For now Holland already suspended the football does some days, and now the following has been France. Who know if this will cause an effect accordion in LaLiga Santander, the Premier League, the Bundesliga and the Series To. For the moment, it is not the case...
