The duel between Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt will be the first to feature the implementation of semi-automatic offside. This technology will also be used in the next Champions League and in the World Cup

Besides, the SAOT also will use from the phase of groups of the next season of the UEFA Champions League".

The boss of the Referees of the UEFA, Roberto Rosetti, sustains that this improvement will help to the referee to give justice with a greater efficiency: "The UEFA looks for constantly new technological solutions to improve the game and support the work of the referees.
