The UEFA and City have arrived to a financial agreement to support to the clubs affected by the sanitary crisis. In principle it is foreseen a monetary injection of 2.000 million euros, that will go increasing until put it of the 7.000
In spite of remaining desestimado in April, the project of creation of a Superliga European, still promoted by the FC Barcelona, the Real Madrid and the Juventus, seems to follow with life and the UEFA is conscious of this, by what has looked for to a strategic ally to face up to him the initiative headed by Florentino Pérez.
It treats of Citi, that has signed an agreement with the body rector of the European football for a finance by 7.000 million euros that allow him to the organism face up to the sanitary crisis. Like this it has informed it the once finalised UEFA the session of his executive committee.
Of this way, the UEFA wants to "rescue to the football"; in principle, with 2.000 million euros, a figure that will go rising progressively until the 7.000: "Following a process of election, UEFA has chosen to Citi like only banking coordinator to global level to develop the program".
Likewise, they have given to know the date in that it would give start the finance like part of the alliance: "Beside Citi, work in establishing a program of finance, that will be the first of this type in Europe. To be approved, could be operative, as prompt, in the spring of 2022".
How it will work the agreement with Citi?
The project consists in employing the income obtained of the European competitions of clubs, like the League of Champions and the Europe League, to face up to the economic problems that cross at present the teams whose economy has seen affected by the pandemia of the Covid-19.
To his time, the teams benefited will have to fulfil with some financial conditions and will be advised for adjust them of his debts by concept of signings. From the UEFA have warned that the losses for the clubs after the pandemia rises to some 9.000 million euros.
