Marcus Rashford debuts in Barcelona, assisting Raphinha in the third goal of Barça's 5-0 thrashing of Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy
FC Barcelona presented its players for the 25/26 season at the Estadi Johan Cruyff as part of the 'Festa del Gamper Estrella Damm'. Marcus Rashford appeared with the number '14' before the culé fans, demonstrating a good performance in the first 45 minutes of the game against Cesc Fàbregas' Como.
The English striker was part of Hansi Flick's starting eleven to face the Italian team in the last presentation of the preseason, sharing the attack with the Brazilian Raphinha and the young star Lamine Yamal. For the second half, he was replaced by Ferran Torres.
Rashford gave an assist and missed an unusual goal in the first half
Marcus Rashford responded in his first appearance before the Catalan public. At 37', the Englishman breaks down the right sector and makes a perfect cross into the area, so that Raphinha only has to push it in and make it 3-0 for the moment.

Despite contributing with that assist on the field, Rashford surprised the fans by not being able to complete an unbeatable opportunity. In the added time of the first half, he received a pass from Lamine and eluded goalkeeper Jean Butez, being alone in front of the empty goal. Despite having the entire goal at his disposal, his left-footed shot went wide.
This didn't end in a goal.

He got past the goalkeeper, let the defender pass and, with the goal completely open, he missed it.
Marcus Rashford had done everything right, but he was wrong in the definition.
They moved the goal.

Marcus Rashford, ready for the league debut against Mallorca
The English striker is one of the new additions for 25/26. Hansi Flick gave him minutes in all the preseason matches, both in the three matches played on the Asian tour in South Korea and Japan, where he scored a goal against Daegu and an assist against Seoul, as well as in the Gamper, where he was a starter for the first time.
In that sense, Rashford has a high probability of seeing minutes in the debut of the azulgrana club in LaLiga EA Sports 25/26 against Mallorca, as a result of a muscular injury that Robert Lewandowski presented at the end of Friday's practice. Next weekend is the first test of the '14' in official matches. Will he be able to debut scoring in LaLiga?
