Hansi Flick's Barça is an expert team in comebacks. Since the arrival of the German coach, the 'culés' have won seven games after starting losing
FC Barcelona's victory against Levante (2-3) allowed Hansi Flick to set a new record with the Blaugrana side. For the first time, a Barça coach has managed to come back from two goals down to win in five different matches within a single calendar year.
The one in Valencia was also the Catalans' seventh comeback in LaLiga since the German's arrival. In 24/25, Barça became champions with 28 wins in 38 matchdays. Of those, six were comeback victories (15.7%), starting from matchday 1 against Valencia (1-2).
Barça relied on clinical finishing and a touch of luck to come back against Levante
In the 25/26 season, the team continues to show the character and decisiveness needed to turn around matches that would be impossible for others. Against Levante, the home side took the lead in the first half with goals from Iván Romero and José Morales.
After halftime, the Blaugrana side leveled the match with a pair of goals from Pedri and Ferran in just 2 minutes and 30 seconds (between the 49th and 52nd minute). Then, in stoppage time, a cross from Lamine Yamal ended in an own goal by Unai Elgezabal, sealing the comeback.
Barça overcomes a two-goal deficit to win for the fourth time in 2025

What's most incredible is that, so far in 2025, Barça has already repeated the feat of overcoming a two-goal deficit on four occasions. The first time was in the win against Atlético de Madrid (2-4), on matchday 28 of last season, where the 'Colchoneros' were up 2-0 in the 70th minute.
The Blaugrana side would again overcome a two-goal disadvantage against Celta and Real Madrid, winning both matches 4-3 at Montjuïc. Against the Galicians, the score was 1-3 in the 65th minute, while against the 'Merengues,' the team conceded a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes.
Finally, this Saturday came the fourth comeback, against Levante, this time with a historic stat. For the first time in its 125-year history, Barcelona managed to win a LaLiga match with an own goal in stoppage time.
Flick now has 13 comebacks in 62 games managing Barça
Elgezabal's own goal in the 90+1' minute completed the comeback, in turn setting a new record for Hansi Flick's side. Counting all the matches managed by the German coach (62), the Culés have come from behind 13 times, winning the match on 10 of those occasions.
From two goals down, there have been eight comebacks, including the incredible clash against Benfica (4-5) on matchday 7 of the league phase in the previous edition of the Champions League. Only Inter Milan (4-3), in the Champions League 'semis', managed to defeat Barça after losing a two-goal lead.
Furthermore, in the last decade, before this year, the Catalan team only managed to win four matches in which they had been two goals down on the scoreboard. In 2025 alone, Barça has already surpassed that record, with five such victories (including the one against Benfica).
FC Barcelona's comebacks in the Hansi Flick era:
- Total: 13 (won the match on 10 occasions).
- From a 2-goal deficit: 8 (won 5 matches, drew 2, and lost 1).
