More problems for Barça's third kit: LaLiga forces the club to change the color of the numbers
FC Barcelona has not been able to debut any of its kits for this 25/26 season. In the first two matchdays of LaLiga, at Son Moix against Mallorca and at the Ciutat de València Stadium versus Levante, they had to use the lime green shirt from 24/25.
The match director, responsible for validating the combination of kits between the two participating teams, thought that Barça's three uniforms could be confused with those of the ‘bermellón’ and the ‘granota’ teams. But this Monday, Athletic Club and Rayo Vallecano were able to wear their red and white shirts.
It should be noted that the referee Alejandro Hernández wore black in the Levante – Barça match; this caused a chromatic mix with the players of the Valencian team.
Now a new problem has been added to the clothing, because LaLiga considers that the third elastic must undergo changes in its name and number.
The third shirt must have a white number

The shirt, which is based on Nike's 'Total 90' design, has orange and navy blue on the back; the latter is at the top. This implies that, to avoid any problems, the number is blue and the player's name is orange.
However, this has caused inconveniences, as LaLiga does not accept that combination. The number and the name must be the same color.
For this reason, the blaugrana team will use the name and number in white on their orange shirt in LaLiga EA Sports 25/26, unlike the Champions League, where they will maintain the original typography.
According to the competition regulations, the colors must "clearly contrast with the background of the shirt to facilitate the identification of the players by the referees, fans and television viewers.”
Barça will debut a new kit against Rayo Vallecano
Barça's next match will be this Saturday, August 31 at the Estadio de Vallecas against Rayo Vallecano, and it is the right time for them to debut one of their new kits, once the impediments of LaLiga have been resolved.
For this occasion, FC Barcelona will use the traditional blaugrana, which they already wore in the preseason against Vissel Kobe, Daegu and Como 1907.
