Barcelona failed to secure their fifth consecutive Clásico victory against Real Madrid. A win would have leveled the record between the two sides at 105 wins each
FC Barcelona and Real Madrid will play a new edition of the Spanish football Clásico this Sunday. The match, corresponding to matchday 10 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26, was the 262nd in official competitions and the 191st in the Spanish First Division. The 'azulgrana' team, in all competitions, has 104 wins and 52 draws against the 'merengues'.
Last season, Barça swept all 4 Clasicos played (2 in La Liga, 1 in Copa del Rey, and 1 in the Spanish Super Cup), with a balance of 16 goals scored and 7 conceded. This allowed the Catalan team to close in on Madrid, being just 1 victory behind in the historical official match record.
However, the 'merengue' victory on Sunday at the Bernabéu (2-1) allowed the 'blancos' to maintain their historical dominance. Now, Madrid has 106 wins in 262 Clasicos (official matches) against Barça.
Barcelona has 76 victories in 191 Liga Clasicos against Real Madrid
In La Liga, Barça has 76 wins, 35 draws, and 80 losses against the 'Casa Blanca'. At the Santiago Bernabéu, the venue for Sunday's match, the 'culés' have won 24 times out of 96 visits. Additionally, they have 15 draws and 57 defeats.
Since 2009, the 'azulgrana' team has managed to win in Chamartín 9 times, 6 of them by a large margin. The last visit resulted in a 0-4 victory exactly one year ago (October 26, 2024), with a brace from Robert Lewandowski and another couple of goals scored by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
In Catalan territory, the balance heavily favors Barça in La Liga, with 52 wins, 20 draws, and only 23 losses. In fact, between 1983 and 2003, the 'blancos' went two decades without being able to win at Camp Nou.
