Flick's Potential Surprises and Tactical Variations Against Osasuna

In principle, Hansi Flick plans to make a couple of changes to his XI in the Champions League against Eintracht (2-1), with Marcus Rashford returning on the left wing. Ferran Torres could also return as a '9' in place of Robert Lewandowski

Goalkeeping and defense

  • Joan García will be in goal, while Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde would be the full-backs. In the center of defense, Pau Cubarsí and Gerard Martín should remain in the middle. Ronald Araujo is out for personal reasons. Andreas Christensen and Jofre Torrents would await their chance on the bench. Ter Stegen will be on the bench alongside Szczesny.

Midfield:

  • As a pivot, Eric García is set to be Pedri's partner in midfield, while Raphinha would be the team's attacking midfielder in place of the injured Dani Olmo. Marc Bernal is expected to get minutes in the second half. Marc Casadó would also be a substitute, as would Fermín López, who did not have a good game against Eintracht.

Forward:

  • In attack, Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford would complete the Blaugrana attack alongside Ferran Torres. The 'Shark' reached 13 goals against Betis and solidifies himself as Barça's Pichichi. Lewandowski and Bardghji would be substitutes this Saturday.

Barça Absences: Which players will miss the match against Osasuna due to injury?

With Ter Stegen's return after more than four months out due to back surgery, only two Barça players will be confirmed absentees due to physical problems.

Dani Olmo will be out for about a month after suffering a dislocation in his left shoulder just after scoring against Atlético. Pablo Gavi, for his part, continues with his post-operative recovery after injuring his right meniscus at the end of September. Ronald Araujo traveled to the Holy Land this week, as part of his emotional and mental recovery after being sent off against Chelsea.

Possible Osasuna Lineup Against Barcelona

  • Probable XI: Herrera; Rossier, Catena, Boyomo, Juan Cruz, Bretones; Torró, Aimar Oroz, Moncayola; Rubén García and Ante Budimir.
  • Bench: Stamakis (G), Fernández (G), Arguibide, Herrando, Muñoz, Osambela, Becker, Moi Gómez, Kike Barja, Raúl García.
  • Injured: Iker Benito.
  • Suspended: None.

Osasuna, for their part, arrive at matchday 16 of LaLiga without significant injury absences and with two consecutive victories, against **Levante** (2-0) and **Ebro** (3-5) in the Copa del Rey. The win against the Granota team was their first after a streak of six league matches without a win.

Against Barça, the Italian coach Alessio Lisci could once again opt for Herrera in goal and a 4/5 man backline made up of Rossier and Abel Bretones as wing-backs and Catena, Boyomo, and Juan Cruz as center-backs.

Lucas Torró, Aimar Oroz, and Moncayola should remain in midfield, with **Rubén García and Ante Budimir** as the forwards. Osasuna has not won away in Barcelona since the 2019/20 season (1-2), and in their last five visits, they haven't even scored a goal, with a full slate of losses and 13 goals conceded.
