Barcelona visits Real Betis at La Cartuja for matchday 15 of LaLiga. Hansi Flick's team arrives as leaders and with five consecutive victories in the tournament
FC Barcelona visits Real Betis this Saturday (18:30 CEST) for matchday 15 of LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26. The Blaugrana team arrives at a great moment in the season, with five consecutive victories and a 1-point lead over Real Madrid, who squandered a 5-point advantage after three consecutive draws away from home.
Barça bounced back from their Clásico defeat by beating **Elche, Celta, Athletic, Alavés, and Atlético**, with the latter three matches being return legs at Spotify Camp Nou. In that streak of five consecutive wins, Hansi Flick's team has scored 17 goals and conceded 5.
Facing them will be a Betis that has also improved its performance in recent weeks. Manuel Pellegrini's men won the Seville derby last matchday at the Sánchez Pizjuán and are coming off a thrashing of Torrent (Segunda RFEF) in their Copa del Rey debut

Flick's Barça faces a tough rival in LaLiga
For the LaLiga leader, Saturday will be another very demanding test, after the vibrant match against Atlético (3-1), where Flick's team, for the fifth time in the tournament, had to come from behind to secure the three points.
In 24/25, Betis was the only LaLiga team that avoided losing to the champion Barça. Manuel Pellegrini's team drew at the Benito Villamarín (2-2) and also did the same at Montjuïc in the second leg (1-1).
In the duel on Betis's ground, Lewandowski and Ferran put the Catalans ahead on a couple of occasions, but Lo Celso and Assane Diao leveled the score, the latter in stoppage time. Exactly one year later, the Blaugrana team arrives in better form, with 37 points out of a possible 45 and, by far, the best offense in Spain (42 goals, 2.8 per game).

Betis, although they have lost only one of their last ten league matches, are having an inconsistent season. Manuel Pellegrini's team has accumulated 24 points and is in fifth place, having achieved 6 wins, 6 draws, and 2 losses so far.
Andalusians have conceded 3 fewer goals than Barça (14), but they **barely scored 22 goals in the 25/26 season**, the lowest figure among the top five teams in LaLiga. For matchday 15, they will not be able to count on two of their main stars, Isco Alarcón and Amrabat, both injured in the Europa League

Hansi Flick welcomes back two of his stars at La Cartuja

Barcelona, for its part, is gradually recovering most of its players after several dramatic weeks with injuries. Hansi Flick lost Dani Olmo against Atlético, but this Saturday he welcomes back Fermín López and Frenkie de Jong, the latter having been absent for the last three league matches.Barring a surprise, Joan García will remain in goal for Barça, as will the center-back pairing of Pau Cubarsí and Gerard Martín.
**Eric García would remain as the defensive midfielder**, despite De Jong's return, while Koundé and Balde will once again be the full-backsPedri could take Olmo's place as attacking midfielder, thus keeping Raphinha and Lamine Yamal as wingers. Up front, Ferran Torres has a good chance of replacing Lewandowski, after scoring against Atleti last Tuesday.
In Betis, there won't be too many changes either compared to the team that won the Andalusian derby. The main novelty would be the return of Antony as a right winger, in an XI where two former Barça players will start: Marc Bartra and Ez Abde.

Betis goes for their first home win against Barça since 2008
Betis, for their part, are looking to end a very long winless streak at home against Barcelona in the league. The 'Verdiblancos' have not secured three points at home against Barcelona in the tournament **since matchday 30 of LaLiga 2007/08 (3-2)**, although the Andalusians did manage to win at Camp Nou in 2018 (3-4) and 2021 (0-1) in recent years.
Prior to last season's two draws, Barça had secured five consecutive wins against the Betis squad, who were eliminated in the Copa del Rey round of 16 last season by a large margin in Montjuïc (5-1). This Saturday's match will be the first encounter between them at La Cartuja, in a rivalry that, on Sevillian soil, favors the Catalans with 29 wins, 17 draws, and 18 losses in 64 visits
