Barça has up to five players pending registration. Despite this, they still have enough margin to make their registrations
FC Barcelona began their journey in LaLiga 2025/26 with a 0-3 victory against RCD Mallorca at Son Moix. However, not all first-team players are registered, so the club is working at full speed to achieve the registrations.
It is worth remembering that of the new signings, both Joan García and Marcus Rashford were available for that match, because the club managed their registrations.
Likewise, the website of the employers' association revealed that the players were eligible for coach Hansi Flick on the same day of the match, that is, Saturday, August 16.
The Blaugrana team still has several days ahead to make the pending registrations. However, taking into account that next Saturday, August 23, they face Levante and on the 31st they face Rayo Vallecano, the club wants to rush these tasks, as long as possible.
Barça already has a deadline to register its players
In this sense, the summer market of LaLiga started on July 1 and will be open until September 1, offering clubs a wide window to close signings and registrations.
Barça, like other teams, has until that date to resolve its situation. If they don't succeed, the next opportunity will be in winter: from January 2 to February 3, 2026.
Barça, with up to five players to register
In this sense, the players pending registration are Roony Bardghji, Gerard Martín, Marc Bernal, Wojciech Szczęsny and Héctor Fort, who could leave the club during the current summer market.
In principle, the idea was considered that the Swedish right winger would have a subsidiary team card, but as the player will remain with the first team, LaLiga does not allow him to be registered as a player in the lower categories.
For his part, regarding the Polish goalkeeper, the Blaugrana team is working to generate enough fair play to fit his new contract after his renewal until 2027. In relation to the '35', he can no longer play with a subsidiary team card as he is 23 years old, so he must also be registered as a piece of the first team.
This scenario was also taken into account when he renewed in January with Barça until 2028. Bernal is also in favor of having a card from the senior team, while Fort hopes that his future will be resolved, but he still has to be registered, so that in case he does not leave the club and the German coach needs him, he can be eligible.
