Ferran Torres continues to add to his tally in 2025/26 with FC Barcelona. The 'Shark' is making the most of Robert Lewandowski's muscle problems and, against Elche, he scored his sixth goal of the season, the fifth in the League. A goal that also allows him to reach a round figure with the Barça shirt.

The '7' has now scored 50 goals in 170 official matches with Barça, averaging 0.29 goals per game. In the 12th minute, Ferran took advantage of a recovery and assist from Fermín López from the left, after Pedrosa slipped, to finish at will against his former teammate Iñaki Peña. Three minutes earlier, Lamine Yamal had put Hansi Flick's team ahead.

Ferran came close to scoring a brace before halftime, but the Alicante goalkeeper denied him the goal in the 45th minute with a remarkable stretch to clear the '7's volley. Frenkie de Jong had provided the pass, with the score already 2-1 in favor of the Blaugrana.

Ferran Torres has scored half of his goals with Barça in the Flick era

For the 'Shark', the arrival of Hansi Flick has allowed him to establish himself as a 'killer' for Barça. In his first 113 appearances with the Blaugrana team, the player from Foios had only scored 25 goals (0.22 per game) in two and a half seasons.

This season, his average reaches 0.50, with 6 goals in 12 matches (he was only absent against Girona as a precaution), while in 24/25 he had scored 19 goals in 45 matches (0.42). In that sense, Ferran's scoring average has improved to 0.43 goals per game during Hansi Flick's cycle, where he already has 25 goals.

With the German coach, he has 57 appearances in which he also provided 8 assists. This improves his record to 33 direct involvements in goals (0.57 per match), with which the Valencian, whose contract ends in 2027, continues to earn merits to renew and, why not, establish himself as Barça's '9', definitively replacing Robert Lewandowski.

Ferran equals Fermín as Barça's top scorer

With his goal against Elche, Ferran equaled Fermín López as Barça's top scorer in the 25/26 season. The player from Huelva reached 6 goals with his goal in the Clásico, while the 'Shark' broke a streak of 4 La Liga matchdays without scoring.

The last goal from the '7' was in the Champions League defeat against PSG (1-2), while the player from Huelva scored a 'hat-trick' against Olympiacos, also in the Champions League, and another double against Valencia.

Further back, with 5 goals, is Marcus Rashford, while Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, for the moment, have 4 goals each. The '10' opened the scoring against Elche and celebrated his first goal in the tournament from the penalty spot against Rayo in Matchday 3.
