2025 will be remembered by Ferran Torres as his breakout year with FC Barcelona. After three years as a regular substitute for the Blaugrana team, 'El Tiburón' took a step forward thanks to Hansi Flick's confidence, notably improving his goal-scoring output with Barça.

In 25/26, the '7' remains the team's top scorer with 13 goals in 17 games, 11 of them as a starter. Furthermore, during the last calendar year, no Spanish footballer scored more goals in LaLiga. Ayoza Pérez won the Zarra Trophy in 24/25 with 19 goals, but Ferran has been more consistent in the last twelve months.

For now, Ferran is co-leader in the top scorers standings with 11 goals, 7 behind Kylian Mbappé (18). Adding his production in the second half of the previous season, the 'Shark' scored 18 goals in 2025, making him the fourth highest scorer in the tournament during the calendar yearMbappé was, by far, the most lethal forward in LaLiga this year, with 39 goals. Further back, with 19 goals, are **Robert Lewandowski** and **Julián Álvarez** (Atlético de Madrid), while the Croatian **Ante Budimir** (Osasuna) scored 17 goals, one less than the Barça number '7'.

Ferran, however, would be just a couple of goals behind Mbappé in the Pichichi race 25/26, **were it not for the penalties scored by the Frenchman**. 5 of 'Kiki's' 18 goals came from the spot, while the Foios native has not taken any penalties with Barça so far

Since 2021 (Gerard Moreno and Joselu), no Spanish player has scored a similar number of goals in LaLiga. That year, the Villarreal and Alavés forwards ended the calendar year with 21 and 18 goals, respectively.

Ferran matched Lewandowski as Barça's Pichichi

Ferran Torres's remarkable 2025 also saw him match Robert Lewandowski's goal output during the calendar year. Both forwards scored 27 goals in all competitions, followed by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, both with 21 goals. Further back is Fermín López, with 14

In total, the 'Shark' has scored 57 goals and provided 21 assists in 180 games for Barcelona. His contract ends in 2027 and, barring any surprises, the club will end up renewing him in the coming months, beyond the possibility of going for another '9' in the summer.

Thanks to 'Lewy's' slump in recent weeks, the '7' has established himself as the most effective striker for Hansi Flick's team, who has not hesitated to reward his consistency with more starting opportunities in both the League and the Champions League.
