RECORD: Flick's Barcelona reaches 44 consecutive games scoring

FC Barcelona's victory against Real Sociedad (2-1) completed the third comeback in LaLiga 2025/26 for Hansi Flick's team, who also regained the tournament lead on matchday 7. Goals from Jules Koundé and Robert Lewandowski overturned the initial goal from Álvaro Odriozola, while also allowing the 'Azulgrana' team to reach a new record.

With the victory against the team from San Sebastián, the 'culés' have now scored in 44 consecutive matches. With this, Barça equaled their best historical streak, valid since 1944, and are one goal away from surpassing this offensive record against Paris Saint-Germain next Wednesday (9:00 PM CEST at Montjuïc).

For Barça, the streak of consecutive scoring matches began on December 21, 2024, in the defeat against Atlético (1-2). A week earlier, the Catalans also fell at home against Leganés (0-1), this being the only match, along with the defeat in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad (1-0) where Hansi Flick's team failed to score the previous year.

In total, the German coach has managed 68 matches, with a record of 51 wins, 8 draws, and 9 losses. In 66 of those matches, Barcelona always scored at least one goal, something they always achieved so far in the Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, and UEFA Champions League.

For now, Barça has 126 goals spread across their streak of 44 scoring matches, 43 of them played this 2025. The streak includes 27 La Liga matchdays, 9 Champions League matches, 6 Copa del Rey matches, and 2 Spanish Super Cup matches.

On the other hand, Hansi Flick's team also continues to improve its records in LaLiga this 2025. In total, the team has played 26 matchdays, with a balance of 22 wins, 3 draws, and only 1 loss. This, however, occurred with the 24/25 title already decided (2-3 against Villarreal).

For the German coach, the best unbeaten streak in the tournament so far was 17 in the second half of the previous season. At the start of the season, the team won their first seven matches. Afterwards, they once again strung together six consecutive victories this year. As for the offense, at this point in the previous season, the team had scored 22 goals, one more than in 25/26 (21).
