Hansi Flick has confirmed the list of Barça players called up for the match against Elche, on matchday eleven of LaLiga 2025/26. Lewandowski and Olmo return to the team

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Football Club Barcelona has announced the list of 21 players called up for Sunday's match against Elche. The Blaugrana team plays its fifth match as host in LaLiga 2025/26, this time at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc.

Regarding the previous La Liga matchday, Hansi Flick recovers Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo, but loses Pedri González. The Pole returned injured from the last break, as did the player from Terrassa, with muscular problems that left them out of the last three matches.

In that regard, the Barça infirmary keeps 6 players in its ranks. Pedri, however, would also miss matchday 11 of La Liga due to suspension. The midfielder was sent off for a double yellow card in the Clásico against Real Madrid and must serve a one-match ban.

Thus, Hansi Flick will not be able to count on a total of 6 players on matchday 11 of LaLiga due to physical problems. In addition to Pedri, Raphinha, Christensen, and Joan García are still sidelined.

The Catalan goalkeeper is in the final stretch of his post-operative recovery from the meniscus in his left knee, although his absence until after the break is not ruled out. The Brazilian relapsed last week from his injury to his right knee and will also not be available until mid-November, while the Dane is out due to a minor injury to his right soleus.

Also still in the infirmary are Joan García, Gavi, and Ter Stegen. The German is hoping to return in December. The midfielder, however, is ruled out until at least February 2026.

Barça needs to win to stay in the fight for the lead

After the defeat against Real Madrid, Barcelona moved 5 points away from the lead in LaLiga. For this reason, Flick's team needs to win against Elche at home to retain second place and prevent the 'merengues' from increasing their advantage.

In their previous match at Montjuïc, the Barça team defeated Girona (2-1) in the final minutes with a goal from Ronald Araujo. Eder Sarabia's team will also not be an easy opponent, as the 'franjiverdes' have only lost twice so far in the tournament (three wins, five draws).
