The goalscorers' standings of LaLiga 2025/26 already has its first solo leader. After FC Barcelona's comeback against Levante (2-3), Ferran Torres took the lead in the 'race' for the Pichichi with 2 goals in as many matchdays played.
In the 52nd minute of the match played at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium, the 'Shark' took advantage of a corner from Raphinha to blast the goalkeeper Campos with a powerful first-time shot. The '7' had wasted two very clear opportunities in the first half, but was able to make up for it in the second half.
With Robert Lewandowski returning from injury, Hansi Flick opted for the Foiós native again as a reference in the area. Just like against Mallorca (0-3), Ferran shook the net and became the first player with more than one goal in LaLiga 25/26.

Kylian Mbappé, main threat to Ferran Torres' goalscoring lead
Beyond Ferran Torres' two consecutive goals, there are still six matches of matchday 2 to be played. One of the main threats to the 'Shark's' initial goalscoring lead, clearly, is Kylian Mbappé.
The '10' of Real Madrid comes from scoring a penalty against Osasuna (1-0) and defends the title of Pichichi after scoring 31 goals in 24/25. Lewandowski, meanwhile, has not yet premiered his goalscoring record in 25/26, as he only played his first 15 minutes in Levante.
