Real Madrid, sole leader 2 points ahead of Barcelona

On Saturday, Xabi Alonso's team added a hard-fought but very valuable victory against Real Sociedad in Anoeta (1-2), a result that allows them to reach 12 points in the overall standings and maintain the sole lead on Matchday 4.
The 'merengues' resolved the match in the first half, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler. Real Sociedad pulled one back from the penalty spot in the second half with a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal. However, they were unable to even reach the tie despite playing with one more player from the 32nd minute.
