According to the data presented by the governing body, the new Sports Payroll Cost Limit (LCPD) of FC Barcelona amounts to 463.642 M€. This new amount represents an increase of 37 M€ compared to the amount previously known that the culé team had after the last winter window.

It is worth noting that in September 2024, the last reference known, the azulgrana entity appeared with an amount of 426.427 M€. This according to the information provided by LaLiga at that time.

---|---|---|---|---|---|
463.642 M€ | 426.427 M€ | 204.161 M€ | 270.026 M€ | 648.824 M€ | 656.429 M€ |
In turn, this new limit is achieved under the 1/1 scenario reached and granted by LaLiga on January 5th, after presenting the agreement for the exploitation of future boxes at the Spotify Camp Nou. This sale has also contributed to this improvement in salary margin.
Why is it important for FC Barcelona to improve the Sports Payroll Cost Limit?
At this point, it is worth remembering that the Sports Payroll Cost Limit (LCPD) is the maximum amount that each Club/SAD can spend during the 2024/2025 season, after the summer and winter markets, and includes spending on players, head coach, assistant coach, and physical trainer of the first team. Additionally, this cap also covers spending on subsidiaries, youth teams, and other sections.
Similarly, the concepts included in the Sports Payroll Cost Limit that are registrable and non-registrable are: fixed and variable salaries, social security, collective bonuses, acquisition expenses (including commissions for agents), and amortizations (the purchase price of the players allocated annually based on the number of years in the player's contract).
Only Real Madrid has a better LCPD than the azulgrana club
In this section, it is relevant to mention that FC Barcelona secures its position as the second-best club regarding the Sports Payroll Cost Limit (LCPD). The culés are only surpassed by Real Madrid, which currently has its salary limit at 754.894 M€, which did not vary compared to the publication in September 2024. Finally, the podium of teams best positioned in this matter is completed by Atlético de Madrid, with 314.281 M€, which only improved by four 'kilos' compared to the last window (310.745 M€).
