FC Barcelona retains the lead in LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 on matchday 20, now with only a 1-point advantage over Real Madrid. The Catalan team ended a nine-game winning streak at Anoeta against Real Sociedad (2-1), in a match influenced by controversial refereeing decisions by Jesús Gil Manzano and Carlos del Cerro Grande (VAR).
The Catalans suffered a goal from San Sebastián preceded by a clear foul by Jon Aramburu on Dani Olmo, while they saw two goals scored by Fermín López and Lamine Yamal disallowed. The first, for a questionable stomp by Olmo on Take Kubo. The '10's goal, for a millimeter offside by the player from Mataró.

Real Madrid takes advantage of Anoeta controversies to get closer to the lead
