Calendar of FC Barcelona

Real Madrid maintains a perfect record in LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 after their first four matches. On Saturday, Xabi Alonso's team added a hard-fought but very valuable victory against Real Sociedad at Anoeta (1-2), a result that allows them to reach 12 points in the overall standings.

The 'merengues' resolved the match in the first half, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler. Real Sociedad pulled one back from the penalty spot in the second half with a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal. However, they were unable to even achieve a draw despite playing with an extra player from the 32nd minute.

Madrid was left with ten after the expulsion, by direct red card, of Dean Huijsen, but managed to sustain the lead with difficulty. FC Barcelona, for now, is fifth with 7 points, awaiting what Hansi Flick's team does on Sunday against Valencia (21:00 CEST).

The only team that could catch Real Madrid on matchday 4, after the 'merengue' triumph in San Sebastián, was Athletic. Ernesto Valverde's team started the season with three straight victories, but surprisingly fell at home to Alavés (0-1).

The Basques dominated the match from start to finish, but lacked the depth to create danger in the rival area. In the 57th minute, an own goal by Álex Berenguer tipped the scales in favor of the 'babazorros', who added their first victory at San Mamés in the last two decades.

With the defeat, Athletic Club remains third in the table with nine points, while Alavés moves up to seventh with seven. In Saturday's final match, Atlético de Madrid claimed their first win against Villarreal (2-0), with goals from Pablo Barrios and Nico González. Despite the defeat, the Yellow Submarine remains fourth with seven points, the same as Barça. Atlético Madrid now has five points (9th).
