Ferran Torres matched a David Villa record with Barça

With his 'hat-trick' against Betis, Ferran Torres became the second Spanish player to score this number of goals in the first 16 league matchdays with Barça in the last 15 years. In doing so, he equaled a record held by the historic David Villa.
Since 2010, no international footballer with La Roja has had a similar start to the season with the Catalans. **The 'Guaje' also scored 11 goals in the first 16 matchdays** of the 2010/11 season, a season in which Villa ended the campaign with 18 goals in La Liga and 23 in all competitions.
The 'Shark', for his part, has already scored 13 goals in 25/26 and is just 6 short of equaling his historic best with Barça (19 in 24/25). Furthermore, the player from Foios is only the eighth Spanish footballer to score a hat-trick in the first half of a league match. For the Blaugrana team, the last player to achieve this was **Pedro Rodríguez**, in 2013 (a 2-5 victory against Getafe)
