LAMINE YAMAL'S STUNNING GOAL! The '19' sealed Barça's La Liga title against Espanyol (0-2)
FC Barcelona celebrated the 2024/25 LaLiga title with a hard-fought victory against Espanyol (0-2) where, once again, Lamine Yamal appeared when the team needed him most.
The 'Azulgrana' team couldn't break the deadlock at Cornellà until the youngster, thanks to his tremendous striking ability, opened the path to victory that allowed Hansi Flick's team to clinch the championship with two matchdays to spare.
In the 53rd minute, the player from Mataró received a pass from Dani Olmo on the right flank. In a split second, he drove towards the edge of the area, leaving Carlos Romero behind, and unleashed a powerful shot straight into the top corner, impossible for goalkeeper Joan García.
Lamine, a specialist in scoring crucial goals
Lamine himself had anticipated it after the comeback against Atlético at the Metropolitano (2-4): "I like to score in important matches." Well, his last 4 goals in La Liga were in both Clásicos, against the 'Colchoneros', and in the Catalan derby that sealed the 'Culés' title. More decisive, impossible.
In fact, the goal against Espanyol was almost identical to the one he scored against France in the Euro 2024 semi-finals with Spain (2-1). Yamal has increasingly trained his left-footed strike, inside and outside the area, a lethal weapon for a Barça that already has 97 goals in La Liga.

Lamine Yamal reaches 8 goals in LaLiga and celebrates his third trophy with Barça
In total, the youngster has accumulated 8 goals and 13 assists in the tournament (leader of the season). On matchday 29, against Girona (4-1), the winger scored one of the 'Culés' goals, but ultimately LaLiga credited the goal as an own goal by Krejci.
After the match, amidst the celebrations in the locker room, Hansi Flick praised the performance of the player who, deservedly, will wear the number '10' for Barça next season. "Lamine has already scored more goals like these. He trains it every day. It was a perfect goal," commented the manager.
For Lamine Yamal, this is his fourth official title with FC Barcelona. In his second season, the youngster won the domestic treble (La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup). He only lacked the Champions League to win it all before reaching adulthood. Incredible.
