LaLiga confirmed the dates and times for the second matchday of the 2025/26 season. FC Barcelona, as agreed with the league, will begin the season playing their first three matches away from home, the second of which will be against Levante on Saturday, August 23.
Hansi Flick's team will debut a week earlier at Son Moix against Mallorca (Saturday the 16th at 19:30 CEST), giving an extra month of margin to the remodeling works of the Spotify Camp Nou. The club will return to the Estadi on September 13 or 14 against Valencia, just after the international break at the beginning of the month.

The match against Levante will be the first visit to the Ciutat de Valencia stadium since April 2022. On matchday 31 of LaLiga 21/22, the team then managed by Xavi Hernández won by the narrowest of margins (2-3) with goals from Aubameyang, Pedri, and Luuk de Jong, the latter in the final moments.
Previously, Barça had two wins, an equal number of draws, and one defeat in their visit to the Granota team, who spent the last three seasons in Segunda. The most significant victory in that period was on matchday 16 of 18/19 (0-5), while Levante's last home win against the Culés was in 19/20 (3-1).
The match on August 23 will be played from 21:30 local time, being the last match of the Saturday schedule. The match will be broadcast on 'Movistar+LaLiga' right after the Atlético-Elche match at the Metropolitano.

The Saturday, August 23 schedule will feature three matches: Mallorca-Celta (17:00), Atlético-Elche (19:30), and will conclude with the Levante-Barça match (21:30). For Sunday, August 17, there are four other matches scheduled: Osasuna-Valencia (17:00), Real Sociedad-Espanyol (19:30), Villarreal-Girona (also at 19:30), and Oviedo-Real Madrid (21:30).
This will be the debut of Los Blancos in the season, as Xabi Alonso's team requested LaLiga to postpone their first matchday game against Osasuna to have an extra week of vacation due to the Club World Cup. On Monday, August 25, Athletic-Rayo (19:30) and Sevilla-Getafe (21:30) will be played to close the matchday.
