Calendar of FC Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski is still on fire with FC Barcelona. The Pole couldn't make a mistake last day against Osasuna and stood out with his first hat trick of the season in Mendizorroza (0-3), completing a first half to remember. Against Alavés, the '9' needed a goal to reach 50 in LaLiga and ended up scoring 3 in just 32 minutes, enough to finish a match that, in the previous match, looked much more complicated due to the rival's good form.

The day began in the best way for a 'Lewy' unleashed in Vitoria. In the 8th minute, the Pole managed to head in a perfect Raphinha cross in a somewhat spectacular way, but the free kick served by the '11' was so well positioned that he only needed to touch the ball for it to end in a goal. The 0-1 made Barça find more space in the local defense and, in the 22nd minute, the '9''s second came after a perfect counterattack.

Lewandowski maintains his overwhelming pace in 2024/25

Robert scored with a touch against Sivera, taking advantage of a perfect pass from Raphinha from the left. The culés continued attacking and, ten minutes later, the score was 0-3, once again in the Warsaw team's boots. This time, Eric García was the assist, with another good filtered pass that the forward resolved like a true 'killer': right cross, somewhat bitten, but perfectly placed towards the base of the post to leave Sivera with no options.

With the score at 0-3, Barça lowered the intensity and Alavés reached the culé area with danger in the last quarter of an hour before half-time, scoring a goal that was disallowed due to a millimeter offside. The dynamics did not change too much in the complement, but the work was already done. In total, Lewandowski completed 18 of 26 passes (69%) in 90 minutes, with 5 shots on goal and 7 of 10 duels won. In the second half he had a couple of chances for 'poker', but there were no more changes in the score. For the '9' there are already 10 goals in 9 League games (undisputed top scorer) and 12 goals in 11 games in all competitions in 2024/25. Without a doubt, Hansi Flick has found the key to recover the best version of the experienced 'killer'.

After the game, the Pole valued the team's work as the key to his statistical improvement. "Since the preseason we have worked very well; with these players we can play better. Everything that we lacked last year we have improved. It doesn't matter who we play against, the most important thing is to win," argued the Pole. Regarding the hat trick, he added: "I have assists and good passes and that makes it easier to score goals. In the first half we were very good. We wanted to attack and score," he said to 'DAZN'.
