OFFICIAL: LaLiga confirms the date and time for Barça-Real Sociedad in matchday 26

FC Barcelona will host Real Sociedad on Saturday, March 1, at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc. The match corresponding to matchday 26 of LaLiga will be played at 18:30 and, for the azulgrana team, it comes in the midst of two very tough matches that could define the team's future in two of the three competitions in which they are still alive.

On one hand, on Tuesday, February 25, the culés will host Atlético de Madrid (21:30) in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals. The cup match will be broadcast on 'La 1' of 'TVE' and 'Movistar +', while the match against Real will also be on 'Movistar'. Three or four days after the match against the donostiarras, Barça will play the first leg of the Champions Round of 16, on Tuesday the 3rd or Wednesday the 4th.

Unless a major surprise occurs, Benfica or Paris Saint-Germain will be the rivals for Hansi Flick's team in the first knockout round. The Portuguese took a narrow advantage away from home against Monaco (0-1), while PSG did the same by thrashing Brest away (0-3). Imanol Alguacil's team will arrive in Catalonia with one day less of rest, as they must play on Wednesday, February 26, against Real Madrid at the Reale Arena in San Sebastián (21:30 CEST) in the first leg of the Copa semifinals. The following week, it is likely that the donostiarras will also have European competition, as they took the lead against Midtjylland (1-2) in the Europa League playoff on Thursday.
