FC Barcelona received this Sunday in Montjuïc the trophy that accredits them as champions of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25. On the pitch of the Líuís Companys Olympic Stadium, the Blaugrana squad, together with the entire coaching staff and president Joan Laporta, received the cup from the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzán.

The ceremony, as planned, began minutes after the end of the Barça-Villarreal (2-3). Despite the defeat against the 'Yellow Submarine', the party was in full swing in the stands and on the field, continuing the celebrations that began after the culés' consecration in Cornellà.7

With the victory against Espanyol (0-2) on matchday 36, Barça mathematically secured the title regardless of the results of the last two matches. On Friday, the traditional champions parade in Barcelona took place and, on Sunday, Ter Stegen officially lifted the 28th League title in Blaugrana history.

Ter Stegen, proud to be back in time to lift another League title

For the German, this is his sixth title in the Spanish First Division (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2023 and 2025), this last one with a special flavor after a season where he was out for seven months due to injury. In that sense, he valued the work done by the squad and the coaching staff.

"I have a few titles with this club and this one has been special because I have been very good again. You value things much more. You can be proud of this team for the titles and how they have been achieved," commented the '1' to 'DAZN'.

Another who spoke after receiving the League trophy was Pau Cubarsí. The center-back, untouchable alongside Iñigo Martínez throughout the season, thanked Hansi Flick for his confidence, as well as acknowledging the great work done by his partner in the back.

"On the field you don't suffer as much as outside. It's the manager's philosophy. It has been spectacular for us like this and we hope that next year it will be the same or better. ¿Iñigo? He is an excellent player. Ronald, Andreas and Eric have also done a spectacular job. It has been a great defensive year and we all have to be happy," argued the Spanish defender.

During the celebrations, Hansi Flick, along with Pedri and Lamine Yamal were the most cheered during the lap of honor in the stadium. Others who took the opportunity to celebrate like children on the field were Héctor Fort and Marc Bernal, the latter in the final stretch of his recovery.

In that sense, the manager also shared his impressions of the season in a brief chat for 'Barça One'. "You can feel the connection with the fans throughout the season and the way the team plays has helped this connection. The parade was incredible and for me, as a German, it was incredible," began the manager.

In addition, he referred again to what he considers was the most important match to complete an epic comeback in the second half of LaLiga. Barça was 7 points behind Real Madrid on matchday 20, but ended up sealing the title 16 matches later.

"For me, the most important match was the one against Atlético (1-2); we lost, but we played very well and here we started to get out of that streak in November. It helped us to continue believing. De Jong came back, Gavi came back, we were improving and now we can celebrate," added Flick.

Similarly, he 'got wet' about what will be the formula to repeat the successes of 24/25 in the next campaign. "Next season we may have to work even harder to achieve titles. It's not about perfection, it's about evolution," said the culé coach.
