Pedri magnifies his figure at Barça: 'Infernal' great goal and great match against Levante

Pedri's figure at FC Barcelona is beginning to take on a distinctive essence. The Canary Islands midfielder, in each match with the Blaugrana team, is showing that he is destined to become a true legend of the Catalan club.

In this sense, in the match for the second matchday of LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 against Levante UD, Barça's '8' had a truly great match, where he showed, once again, that he is the engine of the team led by Hansi Flick.

And the 22-year-old also managed to score a great goal against the 'granota' team, leaving the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium as MVP of the match, which ended 2-3, strengthening the Blaugrana team at the top of the league competition.

It should be remembered that Barça went to halftime losing 2-0. In the second half, Pedri made it 2-1 in the 49th minute, while Ferran Torres tied the match in the 52nd minute with a spectacular volley. The final 2-3 came in the 90+1 minute thanks to an own goal by Unai Elgezabal.

Likewise, he confirmed that when he is on the pitch, the team gets more space, the forwards position themselves better to receive and makes transitions much easier, although that does not mean that the Valencian team put Barça in trouble.

Thus, the player begins his sixth season as a Barcelona player, with whom he has a contract until 2023, being able to reach 10 seasons as a player for the Blaugrana team.

Pedri begins to write his legend at Barça

With just six seasons at Barcelona, Pedri has already begun to make a statistical mark that places him among the references of the Catalan team.

The Canary Islands midfielder has played 204 official matches with the Blaugrana shirt, accumulating 27 goals, 21 assists and an enviable record: two Leagues, two Copa del Reys and two Spanish Super Cups.

In addition to this, at just 22 years old, Pedri has already reached a record that surprises even the most veteran players: he has played more official matches with Barça than historical figures such as Neymar (196), Eric Abidal (193), Johan Cruyff (180) or Samuel Eto'o (199).
