A new LaLiga season has begun and nothing changes regarding the refereeing harassment orchestrated by Real Madrid TV. The official 'merengue' channel keeps its reports on the performances of the referees in each matchday intact, alleging an eternal 'persecution' against the club.

On matchday 3, those in charge of preparing the reports had plenty of material with the disallowed goals in the Madrid-Mallorca (2-1) match. Although the 'blancos' added the three points, the club insists that the decisions of José María Sánchez (main referee) and Pablo González Fuertes (VAR) openly harmed them.

Real Madrid gets tired of the VAR's 'hand' in LaLiga

Of the three goals disallowed against Mallorca, two of them were disallowed directly by the VAR's warning, after an offside by Kylian Mbappé and a previous handball by Arda Güler. The other, also scored by 'Kiki', was disallowed for a much clearer offside.

In that sense, the 'Casa Blanca' channel assures that, since the VAR is implemented in LaLiga (2018/19), Madrid is the club most harmed by goals disallowed by intermediation of the VOP room (37). They are followed by Villarreal (20) and Sevilla (19), while FC Barcelona appears in seventh place with 14 goals disallowed.

Clearly, the Real Madrid channel takes for granted that the 37 disallowed goals were 'legal'. Goals that, clearly, could have changed the course of Leagues such as 22/23 and 24/25, both won by Barcelona.

Similarly, 'RMTV' warns of the balance of expulsions in La Liga during the 21st century, which according to the club's reports widely favors Barça. The 'culés' register a positive balance of +65, followed by Real Sociedad (+43), Athletic (+18) and Villarreal (+16), while Real Madrid has a negative balance (-1), the only big club in Europe with this balance.

Barcelona, since January 2001, have been shown 101 red cards, while their rivals received 165. The 'blancos', on the other hand, received 120 and benefited from 119 to date (September 2025).

'RMTV' always remembers Barça...

As it could not be otherwise, the whining of the official TV channel of the 'Casa Blanca' also put the spotlight on the refereeing performances favorable to Barça. The goal validated to Ferran Torres against Mallorca and the penalty by Pep Chavarría on Lamine Yamal in the Rayo-Barça (1-1) match were the actions pointed out as 'favors' to the Catalans.

However, of the 'rip-offs' by Hernández Hernández in the match against Levante (invented penalty handball by Balde, penalty on Lewandowski not called), zero. And, much noise was generated by the penalty on Lamine in the first half, but nothing is said about the double infraction of Chavarría himself on the '10' at the end of the match.
