Robert Lewandowski celebrated a LaLiga goal again after 42 days. The number 9 scored a hat-trick at Balaídos to reach 7 goals in the 25/26 season.
FC Barcelona took the lead in the 10th minute against Celta de Vigo thanks to a penalty from Robert Lewandowski. The Pole had missed from the spot against Sevilla (4-1), but in Balaídos, he scored again 42 days after his last goal in LaLiga (in the 2-1 victory against Real Sociedad).
'Lewy' took charge of a penalty committed by former culé Marcos Alonso. The defender deflected a shot from Eric García with his right hand, in an action initially overlooked by the main referee Javier Alberola Rojas. Valentín Pizarro Gómez, from the VAR, called the referee from La Mancha, who, after a quick review on the monitor, awarded the penalty.
Lamine Yamal had been taking penalties in Robert's absence. However, with the Pole on the field, the responsibility fell on the '9's shoulders, who chose to shoot to the left side of Ionut Radu's goal. The Romanian guessed the side, but the shot had enough power to beat him.
Lewandowski: 76 goals in 112 LaLiga matches
In his return to the starting XI, the '9' reached 76 goals in 112 LaLiga appearances and 108 in 159 official matches with Barça. 'Lewy' had not started since matchday 8 against Sevilla and now has 6 goals in the 25/26 season, where his performance has been affected by muscle problems.
Barça, unfortunately, could not hold onto the lead for more than a minute in Balaídos. In the 11th minute, Sergio Carreira, assisted by Borja Iglesias, broke the offside trap with a run from his own half, after a missed opportunity by Rashford with a shot straight at Radu.
From 1-1, the game was a back-and-forth battle. Lewandowski was very close to a brace in the 24th minute, picking up a rebound off the post after a shot from Rashford. Radu, however, denied the Pole the goal with a great save on the line, in a clear triple opportunity saved by Celta.
Celta suffered Lewandowski's goals again

However, Robert got his revenge in the 37th minute, anticipating Celta's central defenders to volley a cross from Rashford from the left. The ball went between the legs of goalkeeper Radu, who was surprised by the Pole's appearance completely alone in the box.
Then, in the 74th minute, 'Lewy' celebrated his first 'hat-trick' of the season, this time with a notable header after a corner from Rashford from the left. It had been 80 years since any Barça player had managed to score 3 goals at Celta's ground (César).
Against the Galician team, the experienced Barcelona striker now has 8 goals in 7 league matches. In the 24/25 season, Lewandowski had also scored in Balaídos in a 2-2 draw. Only Valencia (9) has suffered a greater punishment from Lewandowski in the Spanish First Division.
