FC Barcelona's defense achieved its second clean sheet at Spotify Camp Nou on Saturday against Osasuna (2-0). Just as in the official reopening of the stadium against Athletic (4-0), Hansi Flick's team completed a match without trouble at the back, beyond a disallowed goal in the 84th minute for the Navarrese team due to a prior foul on Joan García.

The 'rojillos' barely managed three shots during the match, only one of which was on target in a game dominated by Barça from start to finish. Although the Catalans took 70 minutes to open the scoring, they enjoyed total control of the game, as well as besieging the rival's area for a good part of the match, with a total of 17 shots (7 on target).

For Osasuna, Saturday's match was their sixth consecutive loss as visitors against Barça, a negative streak during which the Pamplona-based team conceded 15 goals and failed to score any. Furthermore, Alessio Lisci's team is the worst away team in LaLiga this season, with only two draws and seven defeats in nine away games.

Second clean sheet in a row for Barça after 17 games in all competitions

Barça, for its part, recently managed to keep a clean sheet for the second time in the last 17 matches. The Catalan team beat Getafe (3-0) on September 21, for matchday 5 of La Liga. Right after, Flick's team began a streak of 10 consecutive games conceding goals, nine of them with Wojciech Szczesny in goal

In that period, the team conceded 18 goals (1.8 per game). After the victory against Athletic, which coincided with Joan García's return and the reopening of the Camp Nou, another 5 matches passed before Barça won without conceding a goal again. The player from Sallent conceded 9 goals in that period, although the Catalans secured 4 wins and only 1 loss.

Joan García adds 5 clean sheets with Barcelona in 25/26

After the victory against Osasuna, Joan García completed his fifth clean sheet in 14 appearances with Barcelona. The '13' debuted with a win against Mallorca (0-3) and, afterwards, also kept his goal shut against Valencia (6-0).

In other words, in 11 league matches, the Catalan goalkeeper prevented conceding goals on 5 occasions, maintaining an average of 0.81 goals conceded per game (9). He hasn't had as much luck in the Champions League, with 5 goals conceded in 3 matches.

In all competitions, Barça has conceded 31 goals in 23 official matches (1.34 per game). At this point last season, the team had conceded 26 goals (19 in the league, 7 in the Champions League).
