This Thursday 5 May gave to know, through the president of the League of Professional Football (LFP), the provisional dates for the next season in League BBVA 2016-17, that will be able to be slightly modified along the next days in function of the requests of some clubs, before being approved definitively by the Real Spanish Federation of Football (RFEF).
The case is that, in theory, the League 2016-17 will give beginning the next 21 August and will finish on 21 May 2017, with a final of Glass of the King that will play just a week afterwards, the day 28 May.
After the Extraordinary General Assembly celebrated this Thursday in Madrid, has confirmed , in addition to the dates already desveladas, that "LaLiga would stop in Christmas between 23 December and on 2 January", according to words of the same president of the LFP, Javier Thebes, conceded to the media. "There will be football in Navidad because the agreement signed with AFE says that it can not play", has argued to continuation.
Regarding the celebration of the Supercopa of Spain, the title that is more just around the corner, would play the days 12 and 15 August (Friday and Monday), as it has confirmed in this proposal of calendar of LaLiga to the RFEF.
